Rappers more often address the realities of life, instead of vague ideals like love, romance, and parties. Music is intended to entertain, but it is also intended to touch the listener. Too often modern pop and rock bands rely on revisiting old themes and tired concepts. Hip-Hop is still blooming and moving forward at a breakneck pace. Through music and visuals, Kendrick is leading that forward movement.
